I started watercolor painting in 2020 as a pandemic-project. It stuck with me! I now paint with watercolor, gouache, and dabble some in acrylic. Most of my subjects are from the natural world. I like to paint a lot of extinct animals in skull form, but I also like painting live animals. In reality, I want to document nature from both the past and present to inform us of what to expect for the future with a rapidly changing climate.
In 2022, I won first place in my tent at the Delta Arts Festival in Newport, AR for my Diana Fritillary and Rose of Sharon watercolor painting (pictured above).
I sometimes sell my art under the name Anthropocenic Art. I am not taking custom requests right now.
